Concord Battery Longevity

Post by N645XL »

I attended the AOPA Tullahoma Fly-In yesterday. The Concord Battery Rep wasn’t busy so I had an extended discussion with him about battery longevity and our XL2 requirement to replace the battery every 3 years. Short version: The battery minder designed for our brand should be used year-round to double the battery’s life. I’ve only been using it consistently during the cold weather months. He correctly pointed out heat is a battery’s enemy and the minder should be used year-round. The minder’s sensors account for environmental conditions. So you heard it indirectly from the horse’s mouth.
