Trust me you do NOT want it to be the wiring harness..they now charge $17,000 for one and it takes 25 hours to replace....

YES,,,,they require most of it to be replaced I think at TBO....but who knows.

I have an air / oil separator but you still get some oil drips. Use Aeroshell oil/exhaust cleaner to get oil off underbelly every 10 hours.
Easy to do.

Just put a paint roller pan under the tube...assuming you are in a hangar...works fine.

Dawley is a super outfit. My muffler came back looking like new after they reconditioned it for a failed internal baffle (not a crack).
After 1175 hours...never had a muffler crack....only internal baffle failure.

I also use Aeroshell exhaust and oil cleaner...its great and wont damage plane.

I do the same thing...have used an oil cover for years...it keeps oil at acceptable temps in winter. I always pre-heat motor anytime temp is 35 and down. Much easier on all parts.
