Re: Avionics list growing

Thanks Michael,

I will be a while before making the change anyway, just researching now so I don’t rush and make a mistake when I need to do it as I’m waiting for the AH to fail which I am sure it will do within 24mths lol

I’m only NVFR anyway and never plan to go IFR as I don’t want to upgrade the GPS and I don’t think I’d want to do hard IFR in the Liberty without an auto pilot anyway. I am liking the idea of the G3 though.

Re: EXHAUST CRACK

Thanks Brad, I did email them and they were pretty responsive and offered a new exhaust for about 1800USD plus freight. I asked if they are modified or come reinforced and they said no. I think the one you had rebuilt came back with reinforcement. I’m getting mine welded up by a shop here in Austral...

Re: Oil Drops

I don’t fill above 5Qt as it just blows it overboard. Both Lycoming and continentals will blow oil out via the oil breather tube, quite normal.

Re: Elevator trim tab play

No issue with the trim tab, although I did find free play in the elevator that was caused by the incorrect placement of washers at the bell crank located at the rear of the belly cowl area where the torque tubes enter the fuselage. The washer placement meant that the bolt shank did not push through ...
